THE EVERIST COUNCIL: The government and religion of the Cavallian Empire. Strict, structured. Social class division is evident. Deviancy from the society standards is met with re-education or death. Ivosy is considered sacred. Education is expensive and valuable. The best career for a civilian is in the Military; be it the Army, the Stealth Army or the Research Team. THE ANTI-EVERIST: The movement against the Everist Council. Free, erratic. Divided according to geographical races and villages. Divided in two tendencies, the A-Eve followers and the orthodox followers.
IVOSY
The most valuable resource for the Cavallian Empire and the A-Eve followers. It's a potent energy source. Assumed to occur naturally, usually underground. The Empire has a couple of mines and is always going for explorations. It's resistant to acids and alkalis and at high pressure it behaves like a liquid.
It's considered a sacred element for the Everists. It's highly expensive too. Only the Everist Council members are seen with huge chunks of it hanging from their necks. Army soldiers and S.N pilots are awarded small fragments for their achievements.
Geography
The Cavallian Empire started as a medium sized nation on the South border of the Karpeos Sea.
The weather doesn't change much. Occasional rainy days and sometimes they get hit by hot air waves coming from the Desert. They have one of the major Ivosy mines at the moment. Two more Ivosy resources have been located at the Jungle Ruins and The Red Desert. Attempts to conquer both resources have failed as the Rebels have taken the areas.
The Red Desert; northeast of the Karpeos Sea; is particularly infamous to Cavallian soldiers. As most of the skilled rebels seem to come from that area. And it seems they have many fortress on that area and above. Air reports from valiant SN Pyro units tell tales about fortified old ruins and hidden villages craved in the rocks. However, despite the danger; Cavallian forces have taken a small region on the border, close to the ruins. Research seems to indicate even higher concentrations of Ivosy could be hiding in the deep of the Desert. As such, many missions will happen in this area. The weather seems to change from extreme hot to extreme cold. Blizzards are not rare.
As for the Jungle Ruins, the high vegetation density, humidity and poor vision make it a dangerous zone for patrolling (specially for the Pyro Units). Not only for the hazardous nature but the hidden rebels too. The Cavallian Empire hasn't been able to establish a base in the area. Not many missions happen in this area, mostly because the losses are greater than the wins and they are more focused on the Red Desert area. The weather is constantly humid with intermittent raining.
The Unknown. To the northwest of the Karpeos Sea exists The Unknown. Named for obvious reasons. No data is available about the zone. The few air patrol reports describe it as an arid almost desert like area surrounded by rocky mountains from West to East. Traveling to the Unknown is not possible by sea; all transportations have to circumvent the sea.
The Karpeos Sea is the only sea in the region and the biggest mass of water close to the Cavallian Empire. The Sea has its own micro climate and strong winds coming from The Unknown and The Red Dessert make direct travelling to the Northwest almost impossible. Sea transportation to the Red Desert happens on the thinnest section of the sea where a unnamed island breaks the strong wind currents and makes transportation to the North possible. The Cavallian Empire has set up small military cities on both sides of the sea shoreline to facilitate transportation.
